White chocolate is one of the most popular flavors at Starbucks coffee shops. So, it’s no surprise that they stocked up on almost 17 drinks. 

One of Starbucks’ most popular drinks is the Iced White Chocolate Mocha, and I understand why. Since I always order and enjoy this beverage whenever I visit a coffee shop, I also make my own version at home.   • Milk 
  • White Chocolate Sauce

Espresso Alternatives

Even if you have no espresso machine at home, you can still make this recipe. Alternatively, you can try the following:

Using the standard method, brew extra-strong coffee and add one or two more coffee scoops when brewing. Using Italian, French, or other dark-roasted coffee delivers better results. 

Espresso in a Moka Pot

Do you have a moka pot at home? You can use it as an espresso machine alternative. All you need to do is fill the reservoir with water. Next is to open the filter and add the Moka-style coffee. Do not forget to screw on the top. Finally, heat on low until the top is filled with coffee.

Instant Espresso Powder 

Instant coffee has a reputation for being “downright delicious” or “just drinkable.” However, using high-quality instant espresso powder is better and more than acceptable. To dissolve the powder, heat the water slightly. You can also warm up some milk and put the powder directly into the milk.

When making the white chocolate sauce, you only need two simple ingredients: milk and white chocolate. 

Over medium heat, put a cup of whole milk in a small, heavy-bottom saucepan. Use a whisk to stir the milk continuously and evenly heat it. Once the first steam whisps rise from the milk, carefully remove the saucepan from the burner. Then, place it on a heat-safe surface. 

Shred four white chocolate candy bars into eight ounces of milk using a peeler. Combine them until smooth with a whisk. You can put the pan back on the heat if the chocolate does not melt completely, but be sure not to burn the mixture. Let it cool slightly before using the chocolate sauce.

Now, I will share the simple steps to making your favorite iced white chocolate mocha, which we usually enjoy at Starbucks.

First, you have to make an espresso using your preferred method, whether instant, Moka pot, or machine. Let the brewed espresso cool at room temperature. Get a glass and drizzle the white chocolate sauce inside. Fill it with ice and add the espresso. Next is to pour in the milk. After that, top the beverage with whipped cream.
